All The Things

Wondering what to wear? Will we have an open bar? Do you have a plus one? Find all the answers here!

Have you sent out save the dates or invitations yet?

Save the dates have been sent out! Snail mail takes a while so please be patient. However, we have not sent out formal invitations. These are likely to go out mid-2025. We will update our website once we mail these out.

What is the dress code?

Dress code for the wedding day is black-tie optional. This means full suits or tuxedoes, floor-length gowns, or elevated separates. Please refrain from wearing white, ivory, cream, or champagne dresses to the reception and ceremony.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Sydonie Mansion is a mainly outdoor wedding venue, so please dress accordingly. All wedding day events will be held outside with minimal cover. Restrooms are indoors and there will be some seating on the covered porch. We will have heaters and/or a tent for rain coverage if the weather requires.

What time does the ceremony start?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Guests are suggested to arrive at Sydonie between 4:00 and 4:15. Guests who arrive after 4:30 will be asked to wait in the driveway until the precessional has conclude and the bride is down the aisle.

Will your ceremony and reception be at the same venue?

Yes! Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at Sydonie Mansion.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We have opted to have an unplugged ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us today is to be truly present, so please keep phones and cameras away and enjoy this special moment with us.

Once the ceremony is over, please take all of the photos and videos you want!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes!

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

All RSVPs will be collected online. Once you receive your formal invitation (around mid-2025), you will head to the RSVP page and enter your name as it appears on the invitation. You can RSVP here for both the welcome party and the wedding day. Contact us if you have any difficulties.

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by September 1, 2025.

Am I allowed to bring my children? A guest?

Due to the accommodations of our venue, the number of seats that have been reserved in your honor have been indicated on the formal invitation. Please refer to it as such regarding guests and children.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

There is parking available onsite for 75-80 cars. Please carpool or plan a ride share service in advance so you arrive on time and/or are not waiting at the venue in the dark at the end of the night.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Please see the Travel page for more details on travel and accommodations.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for!

If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home. We will have a card box at the reception. See the registry page for information on where we are registered.
